About the Group

Public Description

The Strategic Workshop on Emerging Technologies and Interdisciplinary Team Formation was hosted by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Office of Cancer Nanotechnology Research at NCI Shady Grove in Rockville, MD on August 24-25, 2017. The purpose of this workshop was to bring together early career stage investigators to outline cancer biology problems that may be addressed using new technologies and to identify new technologies with unique capabilities to address significant problems in cancer research. Workshop participants represented a multidisciplinary community of investigators engaged in research at the boundaries between biological and physical sciences. Participants were also tasked with identifying needs and challenges in interdisciplinary team science. The agenda and presentations are available under the Overview tab on the left-side bar menu. Access is restricted to workshop participants.
