Genomics and Clinical Research U24 Panels
Goal: Discuss with both the Genomics and Clinical Research advanced development projects topics that are of broad interest to this program
Begin with 5 minute presentations from each panelist to provide background and context to help frame the discussion. Suggested outline:
- High level overview of the project – What research does it support?
- Summary of key project attributes, such as who are the users, current size of the user community, usage statistics, etc.
- What resources do users need to use the tool?
- Open discussion with both audience and moderator questions.
Moderator Questions
- What mechanisms do you use to solicit feedback from your users? How do you prioritize and act on this feedback?
- What have been your key considerations for transitioning from early prototype to broadly used software? Any roadblocks?
- What are your measures of success for your project and what are you doing to achieve these?
- What are your plans for sustaining this project after this funding period?
- What approaches are you taking to lower the threshold for using your tool?
- Do you accept community code contributions and if so, how?
- What can we do as a program to better support the goals of your project?

- High level plan for the project
- Open discussion with both audience and moderator questions.

- How are you working with your intended users to prioritize their needs?
- What are your measures of success for your project and what are you doing to achieve these?
- What are your biggest concerns, risks for the success of this project?
- What advice would you like to ask, if any, from the advanced development projects?
- What are your plans for progressing to advanced stage development?
- What can we do as a program to better support the goals of your project?
